McLEAN, Ruth "Marie" -Marie is resting in peace after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She passed away at Woodstock Hospital on November 17th, 2015 at the age of 77. Beloved mother of Cathy (Ron) Knowles of Woodstock and Dan McLean of Edmonton. Grandmother to Beccy Newton and great grandmother to Lindon Newton and Mia Crawford. Dear sister to Phyllis (Dave) Close and Eleanor (Dave) Neabel. Predeceased by her husband Delmar in 1979 and parents Bruce (1968) and Grace Giles (2013). Marie taught many years in primary school until her retirement. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Sunday November 22, 2015 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday November 23, 2015 at 11am. Pastor Adam Brown officiating. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Compassion Canada or Hemophilia Association would be appreciated.
