MARTIN, Ruth (nee Collins) Died peacefully at Sakura House in Woodstock, Ontario surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was in her 61st year. Cherished companion of the late Bev Skillings (2014). Loving mother of Jeremy and Rachel Martin (Woodstock), Kathy and Steve O'Regan (Woodstock). Loving grandmother to Dominique, Devin, Abigail and Conor. Loved sister of Brenda and Francis Webber (Norwich), Nancy Collins (Woodstock), Isobel and Wayne Amey (Norwich), David and Cheryl Collins (Brantford), Mary Ellen and Harvey Hunt (Woodstock), Jimmy and Kathy Collins (Woodstock), Donnie and Anne Collins (Woodstock).Beloved aunt to 13 nieces and nephews and her 13 great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents William (2001) and Norma (2014) Collins, and brother Norman Collins (1985)."This day remembered and memories kept, no words are needed, we shall never forget, our love for you won't go away, you will walk beside us every day, unseen and unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, and so very dear". Ruth's spirit through her battle with cancer was inspirational. She always lived everyday to the fullest. Ruth and Bev shared a love for traveling, whether spending time in Florida or at their cottage. They can now be together again. We welcome all friends and family to a celebration of life in honor or Ruth Martin and Bev Skillings. It will take place at Sally Creek Recreation Centre on May 9th, 2015 from 1-5pm. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Dr. Karen Fryer and the staff and volunteers at Sakura House for making Ruth's final journey peaceful. Your compassion and care for her and our family through this difficult time will never be forgotten. You will all, forever have a special place in our hearts.
