Ruth (Archer) Hodgins
December 20, 1919 — October 24, 2006
HODGINS- Peacefully at the Woodstock General Hospital passed into the gentle hands of the angels at 7:05 am on Tuesday October 24, 2006, to be with her beloved husband Neil. Ruth Hodgins (nee Archer) formerly of Canterbury St. Woodstock in her 87th year. Dear mother of Susan Hodgins of Hamilton and Julia Hodgins-Diehl of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Stacy Coneybeare and her husband Matt, Anita McMenemy, Niccolas & Ethan Hodgins-Diehl. Loved great grandmother of Dillon, Brooke and Domenic. Dear sister of Dorothy Mells and her late husband Bert, Betty Fleming and her late husband Burton, Mabel Rapson and her late husband George and sisters-in-law of Violet Archer and Isabel Archer all of Woodstock. Predeceased by sisters Fanny Williams, May Brown and brothers Thomas, William, Jack, Fred, and Robert Archer. Ruth was a longtime member of Knox Presbyterian Church Woodstock, Daughters of the Nile Omar Temple #111, London, sang in the Woodstock Choralairs for over 30 years and was involved with the Woodstock Women's Music Club. Friends may call at the R. D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave. Woodstock, (519-539-0004) Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church 59 Riddell St. Woodstock Thursday at 11:00 am with Rev, Glenn Kukkola officiating. Interment in Baptist Cemetery.
