Passed away suddenly after a brief illness at Victoria Hospital, London on January 30, 2025 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Brenda Lee Steele (nee Moyer) for 47 years. Loving father of Russell Jr., Christopher (Kate), Jeffrey, Trevor (Mary-Ellen), Daniel (Alex), and Michael (Amanda). Proud grandfather of Brooklynn (Kalen), Lauren, Kiara, Mason, Baker (2021), Aiden, Peyton, Memphis, Paisley, Isabelle, Eva, Amber, Tabitha, Rene, Brooke and Sydney. Cherished great-grandfather of Beau. Dear brother of Deb, Kevin (Lynda), Ken (Sherri), Kim (Kevin), and Bob (Brenda). Much loved brother-in-law of Don Loghrin. Russell will also be missed by “chosen family members” Bobby Whittaker and Danny Miotto and many extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Russell and Marilyn Steele, his sister Wendy Loghrin, and his father and mother-in-law, William and Grace Moyer. The family will receive friends for visitation at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004), on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11 am in the Funeral Home Chapel. A reception will then be held at Knox Presbyterian Church Harrington, 963727 96 RD, Embro, N0J 1J0.
