Ruby Irene (Scott) Packer

PACKER- Peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on January 29th, 2003, Ruby Irene Packer (nee Scott) of RR#6 Woodstock in her 81st year. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, of 58 years, Albert in 2000. Dear mother of Carolyn Lane and her husband George of Woodstock, Patricia Woode and her husband Kit of Rockwood, Larry Packer and his wife Lois of London, Rick Packer and his wife Ronnah, and Mark Packer and his wife Sandra all of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Scott and Christy Lane, Kelly and Dean Kowalchuk, Debbie and Darin Kennedy, Lee Dennis, Christina and Jamie Packer, Tammy Woode, Nathan and Brant Packer, Andrew, Brandon and Christopher Packer and step-grandchildren, Simantha, Nathan, and Danny Packer. Great grandmother of Meagan, Ashley, Lauren Lane, and Gage Packer. Ruby was predeceased by a daughter Marion Dennis, parents Minerva and Wm. John (Jack), sister Ella May Ostrander, and brothers Neil and Ray Scott. Survived by and dear sister of Marion and her husband Sam Matthews, Frances and her husband Clifford Bruce, Patricia and her husband Don Leach. Sister-in-law of Marjorie Scott and Ivy Scott. Dear sister of brothers Jackie and Marguerite Scott, and Normand and Cindy Scott. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ruby has been an active member of Christ Church Anglican Huntingford. Friends may call the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) on Friday from 2:30-4:30 &7-9 pm where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel Saturday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Eleanor Caruana officiating. Interment later in Christ Church Huntingford Cemetery. Contributions to Christ Church Anglican Huntingford or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
