Ross Raymond Townson

TOWNSON, Ross Raymond - Was promoted to Glory on March 2, 2015 at the Owen Sound Seasons Hospice in his 70th year after a long battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Joyce (nee Arnold Blake) for over 32 years. Loving father of John (Denise) Blake, Jim (Denise) Blake, Christopher Townson, Kurt Townson and Tammy (Nathan) Loiselle. Loved grandfather of Amanda, Tom, Sherri, Katelyn, Cassandra, Carter and great grandfather to Abigail, Lucas, Joshua and Nathan. Dear brother to Marie (Sam) Wilson. Predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Jenny Townson, sister Doreen Dopp and by his brother Wayne Townson. Ross served as an Auxiliary Captain with the Salvation Army, a past member of Innerkip Lions Club, Ingersoll Legion, London South Rotary and Ingersoll Green Giants Optimist Club. Now his adventurous spirit can be free to explore the wonders of the afterlife. Friends are invited to join the family at the Salvation Army Community Church, 769 Juliana Dr., Woodstock on Friday March 6, 2015 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 1:00 pm with Major Phillip and Wavey Birt officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment later in the Drumbo Cemetery.
