ROSS, Rose Emma (nee Fuhr) - Passed away peacefully at VON Sakura House surrounded by the love of family on Monday August 24th, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Wallace ``Wallie`` Ross (1996). Loving mother of Roslyn (LaRoyd) Bender and W. Dale (Ruth) Ross. Cherished grandmother of Shelley (Kevin), Shawn (Sherri), Sharla, Shayanne (Roger); Stephen and Scott, and great grandmother of Tiffany (Tony), Taylor, Emma, Ella, McGreggor, Kirkland, Liam and Lauren. Dear sister in-law of Jean (Howard) Murray . Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings Marie (Ken) Massel, Wilfred (Cora) Fuhr, Gordon (Flo) Fuhr and by an infant brother. Rose served in World War II with the WRCNS - "Wren" - Royal Canadian Legion Naval Service from March 1944 to January 1946, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 518 Tavistock and Historical Museum in Tavistock, a member of the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association, the Canadian Wren Association and the Hickson United Church. Friends are invited to meet with family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Sunday August 30th 2015 from 1-4 pm, where the service will be held in the chapel on Monday August 31st 2015 at 1:30 pm. Interment at Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to VON-Sakura House, Hickson United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
