BLACKMORE - At Woodstock General Hospital on Thursday, July 24, 2008, Ronald Thomas Blackmore of Chieftain St., Woodstock, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Mildred G. Blackmore (nee Milner). Dear father of Leah Miller and her husband Ken and Nancy Baer and her husband Frank, all of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Kim Stere and her husband Richard of Woodstock, Heidi Roposo of Woodstock, Linda Miller of Ottawa, Leslie, Casey, and Dale Miller and Jacob Baer, all of Woodstock, and Lyna Howells and her husband Thomas of El Paso, Texas. Dear brother of Mary-Ann Faddies of Woodstock and Eleanor Battler of Canmore, Alberta. Also survived by 15 great grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, his two brothers, a grandson-in-law, and a brother-in-law. Ron was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #495 Beachville. Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
