Romeo Joseph Babin

BABIN, Romeo (Joe) - Passed away peacefully on Friday May 5, 2017, two days before his 86th birthday. Beloved husband to Jean for 64 wonderful and happy years. Joe was an extremely proud family man to his children: Michael (Isaura/Mary), Paul (Jill), James (Donna) and Louise (Ernesto); his grandchildren: Scott, Colin, Trevor (deceased), Adam, Kayla, Caitlin, Patricia, Jessica, Sarah and Krystina; and great grandchildren: Huxley, Tyler and Cole. His sister Jeannine of Moncton survives him. Everybody loved Joe's positive attitude, sense of humor, joy for music and passion for life. He excelled in careers in the insurance, real estate and financial industries. Later in life, Joe fulfilled a life long calling to become an ordained Deacon in the Roman Catholic Church. His favorite saying to his children and grandchildren was, "You may not be the best but there is none better." To all us that love, admire and look up to you (Joe, Dad and Grandpa) it is unanimous, "Your simply the best and better than all the rest". Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation on Saturday May 13, 2017 from 11am-11:45am where a service will be held in the chapel at 12pm at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-004). If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Oxford would be appreciated and can be arranged through the funeral home . Online condolences at www.brockandvisser.com. A celebration for family and friends will be at Cedarview- Gracious Retirement Living Centre (511 Finkle Street) at 1:30 pm.
