Roma Joseph Prud'Homme

Peacefully, Thursday December 19, Roma Prud’Homme of Dorchester at the age of 80. Best friend, partner in crime and husband of 59 years to Bertha.

Doting father of Michelle Slater of St. Paul AB, Andre (Rose Ann) Prud’Homme and Daniel (Laura) Prud’Homme all of Thamesford ON. He was happiest when surrounded by his grandchildren Katie Slater, Kyle (Brittany) Slater, Brittany Prud’Homme, Kelsey Slater (Kyle Robinson) , Tyler Prud’Homme (Lexie Reed) and Hailey (Faith ) Elijah, and his great grandchildren Josiah and Nadia Elijah and Elliot Slater. Brother of Carmel (Bob) Cussen, Maurice (Fay) Prud’Homme and Jack (Maureen) Lindsay. Predeceased by his parents Claude and Yvette Prud’Homme, sister Francoise Lindsay and Son in Law Jeff Slater.

Always happiest when tinkering in his shop, whether on one of his antique cars, a race car or creating something. Well known in the car world as a gentleman who was full of knowledge, tricks and tips. Always willing to share a story, and most of them true.

Roma loved music, especially Country, Bluegrass and Gospel, and shared the gift of his voice and guitar with many over the years.

A mass celebrating Roma’s life will be held Monday December 23, at 11 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church 1251 Dundas Street, London.
