Roelof Hendrick "Ralph" Bos

BOS, Roelof Hendrik "Ralph" -Gone to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener on Saturday December 24, 2011. Roelof "Ralph" Hendrik Bos of Woodstock in his 82nd year. Missed by his beloved wife, Elayne Kathryn Gebhardt - Bos, his daughter Debra Roloson (Terry), his grandchildren Chad, James, Clayton, Christopher and Teralyn and several great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his siblings, Grietje van de Streek, Hendrik Bos, Frederika Wassen and by his many nieces and nephews in Europe and Canada. Predeceased by his first wife Goldie Laidler (nee Cormack), parents Hendrik and Geesje Bos, sister Annie (Hank) Drenth, and brothers-in-law Aalt Van de Streek and Albert Wassen. Ralph graduated from the University of Western Ontario and the Woodstock General Hospital School of Nursing. He worked as a nurse at Woodstock General Hospital then went on to teach at the Woodstock General Hospital School of Nursing and Fanshawe College. Through efforts of his grandson Chad, Ralph was also a strong supporter of the Woodstock Taekwondo Club. Friends will be received at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 7-9 pm. A funeral service to celebrate Ralph's life will be held at Huron Park Baptist Church, Woodstock on Thursday at 1:00 pm. A private family interment will take place in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
