HOWLETT, Robert "Bob" - At the Woodstock Hospital on Friday August 17, 2012. Robert "Bob" Beverley Howlett of Butler St., Woodstock in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Winifred (nee Roberts) Howlett (1993). Beloved son of the late Alice (1950) and Robert (1957). Dear brother of William "Bill" Howlett (late Dorothy) of Woodstock. Bob is also survived by his several nieces, nephews and by his step children Eileen, Mae, John and their families. Special friend to Pat Weatherhead, Teagan McDonald and buddy to Tyler McDonald. Bob served during WW II and the Korean war. As a soldier, Bob represented Canada as a guard at the Queen's coronation.. He was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #55, Woodstock where he was a Colour Sergeant and was active with many of the Legion activities. Friends and relatives are welcome to gather at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday August 24, 2012 from 7-9 pm, where the memorial service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11:00 am with Pastor Ken Charlton officiating. Cremation has taken place. Interment will follow at the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the Royal Canadian Legion would be appreciated.
