HANSON, Robert Thomas - Passed away peacefully at the Woodstock Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Thursday April 30, 2015 at the age of 79. Loving husband of 23 years to Miriam Hanson (formerly Tanner, nee Mondor). Loving father of Mike Tanner, Marie Kelly (Scot) and Wayne Tanner (Deb). Loving grandfather of Lisa Minogue (Pete), Sarah Miedema (Matt), Samantha Kelly (Curtis), Gale Kelly, Melissa Tanner (Arnold), Christopher Tanner (Lauren), Megan Tanner and Matthew Tanner and great grandfather of eleven. Dear brother of Cheryl Fyfe (Rob), Joyce Smith (Roy) and John MacLeod. Dear uncle of Ian Fyfe (Denise), Danielle Kershaw (Chris), Donald MacLeod (Heather), Tammy Smith and Kirby Smith. Predeceased by his parents Wes and Lila Hanson, sister Marilyn MacLeod and brother Howard Hanson. Robert was born on November 26, 1935 and was raised on a farm on Stage Road in Burford, Ontario. Robert worked 49 years for W.A. Baker Surveying Inc. and was a faithful member of Oxford Baptist Church. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Oxford Baptist Church, 278 Hunter Street, Woodstock on Wednesday May 6, 2015 from 10-11am where the service will be held in the sanctuary at 11am.
