Rita Cecilia (Tremblay) Trousdell

TROUSDELL - At Caressant Care Nursing Home on Tuesday, May 22, 2007. Rita Cecilia Trousdell (nee Tremblay) of Woodstock and formerly of Chatham, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Frederick John Trousdell. Dear mother of Winnifred Clark and her husband Douglas of Peterborough, Marie Trousdell of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Cheryll Hachborn and her husband Bob of Woodstock, Jaclyn DeJong and her husband Al of Myrtle Beach, Franklin and his partner Cheryl and Vicki Landrigan and her husband Blair of Deep River. Loved grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Leah Phillips and Flo Bartley, both of Manitoba. She will also be missed by many of her nieces and nephews. Rita lived a life devoted to teaching, a member of the Retired Women Teacher's Association, the Ontario Teacher's Federation, member of the CWL of St. Ursala's Roman Catholic Church in Chatham and was an avid tennis player and bowler. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) where a memorial service will be held in the chapel Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 10:30 am to celebrate Rita's life. A committal service will be held at 3:30 pm Saturday, June 2, 2007 at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Chatham.
