Rita Teresa Adamson

ADAMSON, Rita Teresa - passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at the age of 74. She was the beloved wife of Allister Calder Adamson. Dear mother to Micheal Jeffrey, Teresa Jeffrey, Daniel Jeffrey, Alexander Jeffrey (Aranka), Bonnie McGaughey (Timothy), Colleen Mayhew (Robert), and Terry Jeffrey (Lesley Fisher). She will also be missed by her nine grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and siblings; Barbara (late Fred) Chartrand, Butch (Barb) Burns, Mamie (Jack) Lebel, Kenneth Burns, Bernie (Hilary) Burns, and Kim (late Judy) Reed. Rita was predeceased by her parents Alexander and Marie Burns as well as sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Leslie Powell. Friends and relatives will be received at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, ON, 519-539-0004 on Thursday from 2-4pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 2:00pm. If desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
