Richard "Rick" James Glaab

December 31, 1947 — August 11, 2022

GLAAB,  Richard “Rick” James – Passed away peacefully at Woodstock Hospital on Thursday August 11th 2022.  Rick Glaab of Woodstock in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Mary E. Glaab (nee Burns).  Loved father of Brenda (Paul) Packer, Brad Johns, and Rob (Carrie) Johns.  Cherished grandfather of Erin (Matt), Dillon (Grant), and Madison (Mitchell);  Danelle (Brandon);  Jordan, Zach and Nic.  Dear brother of Ed (late Valerie) Glaab, and Deb (late Allan) Rastin.  Survived by many nieces, nephews and his sidekick Mort.  Rick was an active member of the Woodstock Jaycees for many years. Rick was an active member of the Woodstock Jaycees for many years and a longtime employee of Fisher Controls. He accepted medical setbacks like a champ, carrying on head high, always embracing the next day. he was kind hearted, had a great laugh and made life more fun and exciting.  Friends may visit with the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday August 15th 2022  from 10 – 11 am where the Memorial Service will be held in the chapel Monday at 11:00 am.  Interment later at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.   If desired, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
