Richard Alan "Dick" Marriage

MARRIAGE, Richard A. "Dick" - Peacefully passed away, with family at his side at the Woodstock Hospital, on Sunday, January 13th, 2013. Richard Alan "Dick" Marriage of Woodstock in his 100th year. Beloved husband of the late Ruth Marriage (nee Hartsell) (1938) and Edna Marriage (nee Dunn) (2005). Cherished father of Arthur (Anne) Marriage, Kathleen (Kenneth) Reading, Murray (Anna) Marriage, Barbara (Ron Stoyko) Marriage. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Karen (Shaun Nevett), Mark (Frances), Scott (Chris) and Lisa (Joanne) and great grandfather of Megan and Lauren Nevett and Jake Marriage. Predeceased by his brothers Jack and Robert Marriage. Dick was a longtime member of Blenheim Masonic Lodge #108, and the Optimist Club of Oxford Centre. He was a 75 year member of Holstein Canada, Master Breeder, longtime leader of Junior Farmers and 4H Clubs in Oxford County as well as an active member of Christ Church, Oxford Centre. Friends will be received by the family at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004, on Friday January 18th, 2013 from 2:30-4:30 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will take place at Christ Church, Oxford Centre on Saturday January 19th, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Interment later in the Christ Church Anglican Cemetery. If desired, contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario, or Christ Church, Oxford Centre would be appreciated.
