It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Bruce Holdsworth, who left us on March 20, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on October 26, 1941, Bruce lived a life rich in love, laughter, and adventure, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
Bruce was the beloved husband of Anne-Marie for over 57 wonderful years. Their partnership was a beautiful testament to love and devotion, built on shared dreams and countless memories. Together, they created a warm and welcoming home, filled with joy and laughter, where family was always the priority.
As a father, Bruce was a guiding light to his children, David and Krista. He took immense pride in their accomplishments and was always their biggest supporter, offering wisdom, encouragement, and unconditional love. The bond they shared was a source of strength and inspiration, and his children will carry his lessons and love with them always.
Bruce had a passion for the great outdoors, finding joy in fishing and hunting, activities that allowed him to connect with nature. He was also an avid reader, often losing himself in the pages of a good book. His workshop was a sanctuary where he loved to tinker and create, showcasing his skills as a true jack of all trades. Whether it was fixing something around the house or embarking on a new project, Bruce approached every task with enthusiasm and dedication.
One of Bruce's favourite summer activities was spending time at Lake Temagami fishing with his friends and family. Those cherished moments by the water will forever be etched in the hearts of those who shared them. He also had a special bond with his cats, whom he spoiled with affection and care, reflecting his gentle spirit and love for all living creatures.
Bruce's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his kindness and the love he shared so freely.
A celebration of Bruce's life will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 1-4 pm at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519- 539-0004). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Diabetes Canada, https://www.diabetes.ca/
