Rev. Harold George Collins

April 8, 1933 — October 23, 2022

HAROLD G. COLLINS (Apr. 8, 1933 – Oct. 23, 2022)

Our Family and Christian Community have suffered the loss of a beloved Bible Teacher. On the morning of October 23rd, 2022, our dearest brother in Christ REVEREND HAROLD G. COLLINS was promoted to the hope he lived by, and is now in the arms of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Rev. Harold Collins was born in Niagara Falls and enjoyed working on the farm with his Dad, who unfortunately passed away at a young age. Early in his twenties he turned to Jesus. He studied at Eastern Pentecostal Bible College dedicating his life to the service of God by pastoring various churches and teaching the Bible, in particular the Kingdom of God and the Work God Accomplished on the Cross.

In the 90's, he and his wife Lorraine travelled abroad as missionaries. In Nigeria, he evangelized, trained and discipled many young men that in turn opened new churches and even now are continuing on with the work. By those he taught he is affectionately known as “Daddy”.

Harold's family knew of his deep faith and love of the Scriptures. Please pray for those affected by his departure, his wife Lorraine and their children, Laura O’toole, Becky (Mike) Adair, Brenda (Jose) Mendoza, Bambi (Mark) Ayotte, and Ludwing (Amy) Pereamelendez who has been as a son to them; their grandchildren, Liam, Aiden, Meghan, Mikenna, Megan, Sarah, Benjamin, Abby, Hayden, Jonathan, Collins, Victoria, Benjamin and Nathaniel. He is survived by his sister Nora Collinson of Niagara Falls, predeceased by his brother Tom Collins, his sister Elsie Messer, his parents Harold and Nellie Collins, and his first wife Ida Collins.

The family would be privileged if you would join them for a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, November 5th, at 1pm at The Family Church, 887 Dufferin St. Woodstock, ON, N4S 1Y8.  Refreshments will be served.
