Reta Mae (Barratt) Armstrong

ARMSTRONG (nee Barratt), Reta Mae - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Reta Mae (nee Barratt) Armstrong on Saturday May 13, 2017 at her home in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Melvin Charles Armstrong (2004). Loving mother of Ann (Jerry) Lapier, Martin (Brenda) and Dan (Lani). Doting Grandma of Jason (Ellissa) Lapier, Melanie Lapier, Kristyn (Chuck) Longlade, Adam (Becky) Armstrong, Brianne (Tyler) Wallis, Alyssa (Ben) McMahon, Kayla Armstrong and proud Great Grandma of : Alora, Tristan, Noah Lapier; Nathan, Ryen, Jordan Longlade; Abigail, Jenna Wallis and Blake Armstrong. Loving Sister of Marion Knott, sister-in-law of Elizabeth Barratt. Predeceased by her sister Edna Dennis and by her brother Dan Barratt. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews locally and in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Reta spent her entire life in Beachville, moving to Woodstock in 2000. She was a member of Beachville United Church, church choir and U.C.W. She worked for the former Mutual Life of Canada for over 25 years. Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Wednesday May 17, 2017 from 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 11:00 am with Rev. David Van Patter officiating. Interment in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
