Reinder "Ray" K. Van Der Woude Sr.

Van der Woude, Reinder K (Ray Sr.) - Born October 29, 1929. Passed away peacefully with family at his side at the age of 85 at Woodstock Hospital on December 21, 2014. Devoted husband of Mary Ann (nee Skinner). Ray Sr. passed on the eve of their 58th Wedding Anniversary. Loved father of Charles (Kathleen) of Woodstock. Ray Jr. (Kathy) of Ingersoll. Victor (Laurie) of Saskatoon. Predeceased by infant son Justin (1976). Remembered fondly as Opa by 9 grandchildren: Justin (Samantha), CJ (Kelsie), Krista, Chad (Jess), Kevin, Victoria (Trevor), Sarah (Dave) Jessica and Alyssa and 9 great-grandchildren: Aurora, Lachlynn, Rowan, Cam, Macy, Jack, Noah, Caleb and Isaac. Ray Sr. is also survived by his brother Karel (Els) in Nunspeet and his sister Margriet (Henk) in Amsterdam. Predeceased by sisters, Corry and Jannie. Ray Sr. was well known by many in the Ingersoll, Woodstock and Innerkip area. He was the founder and owner of Ray's Car Sales in Innerkip. Mary Ann and Ray lived many years in Innerkip before moving into an apartment in Woodstock. His last six months were spent in Woodstock Hospital and most recently at Caressant Care Nursing Home. The family is grateful for the care and kindness shown to Ray Sr. during this time.
