Reginald John Warner, known affectionately as Reg, passed away on August 18, 2024, in London, Ontario at the age of 82.  Born on August 24, 1941, in Ingersoll, Ontario.   Reg was a beloved figure in his community and a cherished family man.

Reg devoted 33 years to building locomotives at General Motors Canada, Locomotive Division.   A licensed motor mechanic for 40 years, he also served as a volunteer firefighter with the Thamesford Fire Department for 25 years. His commitment to his work and community service spoke volumes about his dedication and integrity.

Reg's personality was as vibrant as his professional life.  Known for his unique and quick wit, he loved to tease, tell a good joke, and have a good time. His life was one of purpose and joy, always with a plan in hand.  He loved his family dearly, a love that was deeply reciprocated by all who knew him.

He was 50-years a Free Mason belonging to King Solomon Masonic Lodge No 394 Thamesford and later Mount Olivet Masonic Lodge No 300 Thorndale, also being a member of the Mocha Shrine.

Reg is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Sharon Ann (nee Pullin) Warner, and their sons, Scott (Anneliesje) Warner of Mississauga, John (Wendy) Warner of Ingersoll, and Tim (Michele) Warner of London.  He was a cherished grandpa to Ryan (Natasha) Warner, Erica Warner-Moir (Adam Moir), Nicholas Warner, Portia Warner, and Kurtis Warner, and a proud great-grandfather to Harper Moir, Remington Warner, Hannah Moir and Olivia Warner.  He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Bunny Warner and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joyce and John Leal.  Reg was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law Jim and Donna Warner, and his brother Bill Warner.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Fanshawe Park, Henley Place for their exceptional care and compassion for Reg in his final days.

Contributions in memory of Reg can be made to the Parkinson Society or a charity of choice. Cremation has taken place.  A Masonic Service will take place on Wendesday August 28, 2024 at 10:30 am. Visiation will take place from 11 am -1pm folllowed by a Memorial Service at 1 pm on Wendesday August 28, 2024 all at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Thamesford Chapel (177 Dundas St. Thamesford, Ont.)

Reg's life was marked by laughter, love, and a lively spirit. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
