Mark Raymond Stuart Macdonald, 62, of Woodstock, Ontario, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2018 at home with his loving family. A celebration of Mark's life will take place at the Brock Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock starting at 2:00 pm and ending at 5:00 p.m. on May 5, 2018. Memorials may be made to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or Lymphoma Canada Southwestern Ontario Chapter. Mark was born August 29, 1955 in South Porcupine Ontario to Stuart and Lillian (Raycroft) Macdonald. He graduated from Roland Michener Secondary School and from Sault College. On August 14, 1977 he married Nancy Alice Walker of Cochrane, Ontario. Mark was employed as a maintenance electrician in both the mining and automotive manufacturing sectors with Kidd Creek Mines in Timmins, ON and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, in Cambridge and Woodstock, ON. During the course of his employment he travelled to Japan on several occasions and completed a three year work assignment in Tupelo Mississippi, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Mark always provided for his family through his immeasurable skills and hard work. He loved to work but also enjoyed: fixing all mechanical and electrical problems ever encountered by friends and family, caring for his beloved dogs, reading, golfing and spending time with his family. Mark is survived by his beloved wife Nancy; their two children; Jim, James Stuart George Macdonald, (Lisa) of Brampton and Alison Nancy Lefebvre (Keith) of Tavistock; mother Lillian Pyke of Niagara-on-the-lake; sister Sally Sadler (Keith) of Calgary, brother Michael Macdonald (Sandra) of Niagara-on-the-lake, brother in-law Eric Richards of Kitchener and his four grandchildren, William and Henry Lefebvre and Alexander and Jacklynn Macdonald. Mark was also a proud and happy uncle of all of his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Stuart (1985), Step-Father Lewis Pyke (2008), sister Janice Richards (2014) and father in law, George Walker (2014). A special thanks to Dr. Brock Tompkins and the oncology teams at Grand River Regional Cancer Centre and Hamilton Health Sciences. Interment of ashes will follow at a date to be arranged by his family at Kintore Presbyterian Cemetery in Kintore, Ontario.
