CURTIS -At St. Mary's Hospital Kitchener, on Monday August 30, 2010, Rae Henry Curtis of Innerkip in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Margaret Curtis (nee Rowe) for over 53 years. Dear brother-in-law of Pauline Mattson (late Don) of Woodstock, Marilyn Rowe (Late Malcolm "Mac") of Innerkip, Dorothy Graybiel (Gerry), Marion Simon (Frank) all of Woodstock Barry Rowe (Barb) of Chatham, Glenis Scott (Bruce) of London and survived by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Rita (nee Walker) Curtis and by his sister Arlene Curtis. Rae was a past Fire Chief of the Innerkip Volunteer Fire Dept., served on the Board of Trustees of Innerkip Seniors, was owner/operator of Curtis Produce for many years, served as an Elder and Trustee with Innerkip Presbyterian Church and was the Sunday School Superintendent for 35 years. Most recently he was involved with the Innerkip Drop in Centre and was a caretaker of the Innerkip Lawn Bowling Club. Rae was an avid sports enthusiast whether it was playing sports or supporting local minor sports. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday September 2, 2010 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 1:30 pm with Pastor Alan Calcutt officiating.
