Phyllis (Miles) Martin

MARTIN, Phyllis -(formerly Foster, nee Miles) - Passed away peacefully at Sakura House, Woodstock, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday May 13th , 2015 in her 84th year. Predeceased by her husbands Donald R. Foster and Simon A. Martin, grandsons Taylor and Tommy, granddaughter Courtney and son-in-law Lyle also sisters Alice, Clara and brother Clifford. Phillis was a loving mother of eight children, Tom (Maggie), Edmund (Margaret), Judy (Ken), Gail (Gary), Allison (Lyle), Paul, Sandra and Russell. Proud grandmother to 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Mom will be missed by her brothers Bill and Fred (Dot) and sister Jean (Joe), sister-in-laws Mary and Jean (Fred) and brother-in-law Fred (Elsie). Friends and relatives will be received at the Salvation Army Church, 769 Juliana Drive, Woodstock for visitation from 2-3pm Sunday May 17th, 2015. A service with Major Stephen Sears officiating will take place at 3:00pm. Interment will take place at 10:00am Monday May 18th, 2015 at the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Sakura House or the Salvation Army would be appreciated and may be arraigned through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home 519-539-0004.
