Peter Madore

Madore, Peter - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Madore of Woodstock, Ontario, who passed away peacefully on June 15, 2022, following a brief battle with cancer. Peter was 83 and exited bravely, and with dignity. He was a devoted husband for 57 years to Mae Madore (Kyte) and father to Glen Madore and his wife Valerie and Deborah Scott (nee Madore) and her husband Evan (“OJ”). He was the proud grandfather to Jalen and Isaiah Scott and Gregory and Xavier Madore. Peter was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, and was raised in Christmas Island.  At 16, Peter moved to Ontario and spent 39 dedicated years working for Canadian National Railway (CN), where he retired and began a long, enjoyable retirement. Peter had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.  He had a wide circle of friends with whom he and Mae created many fond memories.

A memorial service to celebrate Peter’s life will be held at a later date, with interment in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
