Peggy M. (Wettlaufer) Pallister

PALLISTER - At her residence on Saturday March 10, 2007. Margaret "Peggy" M. Pallister (nee Wettlaufer) of Caressant Care, Woodstock and formerly of Sovereign Rd., Woodstock in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Glen A. Pallister (1993) for over 57 years. Dearest mother of Glenna Pearson and her husband Paul of Woodstock. She is also survived by her grandsons Paul and his wife Ronda of London and Philip of Woodstock and by two great grandsons Tyler (Alisha) and Adam Pearson and by two great granddaughters Stephanie and Holly Pearson. She will be missed by her brother Harold Wettlaufer and his wife Donna of Mitchell, by her sister Verda Carey and her husband Don of Ingersoll, by her sisters-in-law Liela, Ruby, June and Pearl and by her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Allan in 1956 and by her brothers Lynn, Shorty, Lloyd and Wayne. Peggy and her husband farmed in the Hickson area until 1956, then moved to town where she worked at different places, lastly at the Woodstock Inn where she was regarded as making the best pies in town. After retirement Peggy and Glen literally became world travellers seeing almost the entire globe. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday March 13, 2007 from 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Eleanor Caruana of Christ Church Huntingford officiating. Interment later in the Anglican Cemetery.
