Paula Piraino, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2024, in Woodstock, Ontario, at the age of 70. Born on August 23, 1953, in the warm heart of Sicily, Italy, Paula's gentle spirit and nurturing nature were evident from her earliest days.
Paula's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with devotion to her family, a passion for painting, and the joy of cooking. She shared a loving marriage with her beloved spouse, Angelo, and together they raised two wonderful daughters, Teresa, married to Scott Gillingwater, and Jennifer Piraino. Paula's love extended to her siblings, Michele and his wife Antonia, Gioacchino and his wife Paolina, and Carmelo and his wife Angela. She was lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, who cherished her warmth and guidance. Paula was predeceased by her sister Maria and Gina, and her parents, Salvatore and Giuseppa, who instilled in her the values of family and tradition.
Paula's zest for life was contagious, and she found great joy in dancing with the Southgate sisters, where her grace and rhythm brought smiles to all who watched. Her creative spirit found a canvas in painting, a hobby she picked up later in life, which allowed her to express her inner beauty and vibrant view of the world. Paula was also an excellent cook, renowned for her ability to transform simple ingredients into sumptuous feasts. Her home was a hub of hospitality, where friends and family were always welcomed with open arms and a table laden with delectable dishes.
