Olivia And Matthew Gilson

GILSON-, Olivia and Matthew Olivia, our beautiful princess, four year old daughter of Patrick and Melissa and sister of Jackson and Matthew passed away on July 16, 2005 after a courageous battle following a tragic car accident in Ottawa. Matthew, his dad's best friend, mom's number one helper and six year old big brother of Olivia and Jackson followed his sister on July 17, 2005 to protect and comfort her in heaven. Olivia and Matthew have left the arms but not the hearts of their grandparents, Bob and Mary Helen Gilson of Aylmer and Paula and Gary Bartholomew of Brockville and her great-grandparents Joe and Irene Marshall and Joan Bartholomew. Olivia and Matthew are lovingly remembered by aunts and uncles Shelly and Tim Clark; Jeff and Kelly Gilson; Tom and Carleen Gilson; Mark Bartholomew and Audrey Kean; and Jim and Sharon Bartholomew as well as many great-aunts and uncles. Sad to say farewell to their cousins are Paige, Katie, Samantha, Julia, Ryan, Patrick, Elizabeth, Connor, Cooper, Taylor and Benjamin. Olivia and Matthew will be met in heaven with open arms by their uncle Bob, and great-grandparents Denis Bartholomew, Stewart McBrien, Helen McBrien and Margeurite Barrett. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Rita's Roman Catholic Church 904 Dundas St. Woodstock on Friday at 2:00 pm with Father Andrew Kowalczyk celebrant. In lieu of flowers, please support the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario for we will forever be thankful for the fabulous care that Olivia and Matthew received from the team of dedicated and caring staff at the ICU.
