Whitehead, Olive May (nee Medcalf) - Safely home with Jesus on August 6, 2009 in her 96th year. Born in Woodstock on June 26, 1914. Married to Harvey Alexander (1995) for nearly 55 years. Predeceased by her siblings Francis (1984), Ruby (1986), Marjorie (1985) and Violet (2002). Cherished mother to Keren Boulianne (Arnold), Ian Whitehead, Glen Whitehead and Anne Byron.Loved grandmother and great grandmother. Devoted aunty to Harold (Ruth) Whitehead of California, James (Eva) of Sioux Ste. Marie, David Baskerville (1993), Betty Murtland (1999), Marlene King of Woodstock and Miriam of Burlington. Olive was a lifetime attendant at Oxford Baptist Church. Olive started at Sunday School in 1924 at age 10. Olive taught Sunday School, Booster Band, Ladies Bible Study and Children's librarian. Olive was loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Sunday August 9, 2009 from 2-4 pm. The funeral service will be held at Oxford Baptist Church, Woodstock on Monday at 1:30 pm with Pastor Arnold Boulianne and Pastor Don Reeve officiating. Interment in the Baptist Cemetery.
