Olive Marie (Garfield) Thorne

THORNE- Olive Marie Thorne (nee Mighton) of Sovereign Rd. Woodstock passed away Saturday June 28th 2003 in her 87th year. Olive has gone to be with her husband Arthur J. C. Thorne who passed away on December 22, 1973. Dear mother of William (Bill) and his wife Linda of Woodstock, Barbara Ataman and her husband Jack of Huntsville. Loved grandmother of David, Laura, Donna, Debbie and great grandmother of Tyler, Olivia, Natalie, Nicole, Matthew and Alex. Dear sister of Glenna Nelson and her husband Doug, Victoria Scalisi, Edward Mighton, Harold Mighton all of Woodstock and James and his wife Kay of Campbelleville. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Arthur Mighton. Olive was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star, Life member of the Woodstock General Hospital Ladies Auxillary and a member of New St. Paul's Anglican Church A.C.W and Alter Guild. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave. Woodstock (519-539-0004) Monday 7-9 pm, Tuesday 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at New St. Paul's Anglican Church (Dundas & Wellington) Wednesday at 1:30 pm with The Venerable James Dugan officiating. Interment Anglican Cemetery. Contributions to the Woodstock General Hospital Ladies Auxillary, New St. Paul's Anglican Church or C.C.A.C. (St. Elizabeth's Homecare) would be appreciated. An Eastern Star service under auspices of Eastern Star Khaki Chapter #27 will be held Tuesday evening 6:30 pm at the funeral home.
