SHRUMM, Norman - On Saturday October 15, 2011. Norman Edward Victor Shrumm of Woodstock, after a long and full life passed in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Helen Noreen (nee Masters) Shrumm (2009). Dear father of David (Linda) of London, Bob (Nanci) of Mt. Vernon, Washington and Peggie McKinnon (Kevin) of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Courtney Shrumm (Colin MacIntosh), Regan, Lindsay Law (Brad) and Matthew. Dear brother of Eleanor Bragg of Woodstock. Norman proudly served as a member of the Highland Light Infantry during WWII and participated in the landings at D-day and the battles at Falaise, Holland. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. # 55, Woodstock and a past member of Oxford Masonic Lodge # 76 A.F. & A.M. A giving, conscientious man who will be missed by all. Friends will be received by the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Wednesday October 19 between 3 to 4p.m. A funeral service to honour Norman's life will be held in the chapel at 4p.m. with Rev. Ted Winter officiating. The family invites friends to then meet at the Woodstock Navy Club, 959 James St., to remember.
