LANSDELL, Norman Lewis - Passed away at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll on Sunday, December 11, 2016 in his 101st year. Norm was the beloved husband of the late Elsie "Mary"(2015) Lansdell for over 63 years. Loving father to Susan Allan (John), Nancy Kernighan (Mark), John Lansdell (Jan), and Pete Lansdell (Joanne). Cherished grandfather to Jennifer, Chris, Meredith, Tyler (Rachel), Mallory, Jacklyn (Nate), Chad, Amanda (Bernie), Kate, Nicole, Shelby, Cole and Wyatt. Great-grandfather to Audrey, Callahan and Eleanor. He served as an Army Lieutenant in WWII. Norm was honoured by the Anglican Church for his many years of service. He became Master Mason in 1947, Master of Nilestown Lodge No. 345 in 1959 and was elected District Deputy Grand Master in 1969-70. Norm was also Most Wise Sovereign of the Scottish Rite, London Valley in 1988, a member of the Alumni Mocha Shrine, and member of London Daylight Lodge, and Centennial Lodge, London. Past President of the Oxford County Soil and Crop Association as well as Oxford County Cattlemens Association. Friends will be received on Friday, December 16th, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, Thamesford Chapel, 177 Dundas St., Thamesford, ON 519-285-2427. A Service will be held at the funeral home at 6:30pm under the auspices of Nilestown Masonic Lodge No. 345. The funeral will be held on Saturday, December17th, at 11:00am at St. John's Anglican Church, Thamesford with Rev. Larry Edwards officiating. Reception to follow at the Thamesford Community Centre. Interment later in the St. John's Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the Parkinson Society or St. John's Anglican Church would be appreciated and may be arranged through the funeral home.
