CAMPBELL, Norman- Norman William James Campbell was at his happiest heading ‘to the barn to his beloved horses.' It is with great sadness the family of Norm announce his passing at his residence on Thursday July 13, 2017 at the age of 86. Born November 8, 1930 in Clinton, Ontario. Loving husband to Beverley (nee Skuse) for 62 years. Dear father of Kim (Les), Greg (Nancy) , and Michelle. Cherished grandpa to Jennifer, Christopher (Riye), Lesley (John), Michael, Chase, and Jordyn. Proud great grandpa to Connor, Ella, Johnny, Maeda, and Greg. Reunited with his parents Hugh and Mary, sister Margaret, and his brothers Gordon and Clayton. He will be missed by many family members, friends and his loyal dog, Boo. Norm led a full life and was so grateful to have had careers he loved. Long-term employee of Union Gas as a serviceman and his greatest joy as a Standard Bred Horse owner, driver and trainer. A very proud man, strong, determined and tough. As his friend Lonnie McCorkle always said, "he's tougher than RAT SH*T." At Norms request, no funeral will be held. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 177 Dundas St., Thamesford (519-285-2427). If desired, memorial contributions in Norm's memory to Ontario Standard Bred Adoption Society of Canada, 86 Main St. N., Campbellville, Ontario L0P 1B0, would be appreciated.
