Norma (Roegele) Baker

September 12, 1924 — February 25, 2009

Norma Anna Marie Baker (nee Roegele), in her 85th year, at Woodingford Lodge on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, in Woodstock, Ontario. Beloved wife of 58 years to William "Bill" Albert Baker who passed away two months ago on December 26, 2008. Beloved mother of Greg and his wife Anne of Michigan and Philip and his wife Linda of Woodstock. Beloved and much cherished grandmother to Adrianna (Toronto) and Alexandra Baker. Sister to Myrt Whiting (Lorne, deceased) of Stratford, Jean McDonald (Lorne, deceased) of Wingham, Betty Schenck (Lloyd, deceased, and Ken deceased) of Stratford and Bill Roegele (Lenore) of Stratford. Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Norma was the medical secretary (Ontario Medical Secretary Association) for many years for Doctors Patricia and Ian Brown in Woodstock. Norma lived with Parkinson's Disease for over 27 years with grace and dignity. We give a heartfelt thank you to Mom's nurses and caregivers, her Woodingford family, over the last eight years. Their care and friendship with Mom and Dad (who spent every afternoon and evening with Norma) was tremendous. Cremation has taken place. Norma and Bill will be interred at Christ Church Cemetery in Lakeside, at a yet to be determined date, in the spring. A private time of remembrance will be held at that time.
