WOOD- Peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home Woodstock on Thursday December 4, 2008. Nora I. Wood (nee Eckenstein) formerly of Canterbury St. Woodstock in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Earl D. Wood (1990). Dear mother of Elsie (Parsons) Harris of Taylor, Michigan. Loved grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Dear mother-in-law of Lucy Wood, Margaret Wood and Fred Wilks and sisters in-law Marjorie and Evelyn Eckenstein. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughter Alice Wilks, sons; Lawrence, Glen, Melvin and Blake Wood, sisters; Elsie (Earl) Carnegie, Beatrice (Ralph) Norton and brothers Walter (Bill) and George Eckenstein. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave. Woodstock (519-539-0004) Friday 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held in the chapel Saturday at 2:00 pm.
