SANDERSON, Nora Eliza - With deep sadness, we announce the death of Nora Eliza Sanderson(Hardy) on June 24, 2020, at the Woodstock General Hospital at age 96. Nora is survived by daughter Susan Harrison (Fred) and sons Paul (Grace) and Ron (Pam). She was the proud grandmother of Ben Harrison (Clara), Glen Sanderson (Meagan), Craig Sanderson, Cameron Sanderson (Sylwia) and Stephanie Sanderson (Chad) and great-grandchildren Renley and Briar Sanderson. Also fondly remembered by Alyssa and Jules and Kim Sanderson and the MacIntyres, niece Beth Barry (Chuck) and nephews Bob (Jean), Don (Jan) and Al (Cathy). Predeceased by husband Glen (1964), son Brian (2015), sister Alice & brother-in-law David MacIntyre. Nora lived most of her adult life in Woodstock. She was a popular teacher at Hillcrest Public School. Very active in the community, she made many friends volunteering, playing bridge, curling and long time membership at St. David's United Church. Cremation has taken place and at this time of Covid-19 restrictions, a Celebration of Nora's Life will happen at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock (519)539-0004. A private graveside service will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Woodstock Hospital or St. David's United Church would be appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff at Oxford Gardens Retirement Residence for their care and support. We are also grateful to the nurses, doctors and LHIN staff at WGH.
