JAKOWLEW - At Woodingford Lodge on Sunday August 19, 2007. Nikita Jakowlew of Woodstock in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Katerina Jakowlew (nee Demjanow) for 57 years. Dear father of Victor and his wife Martha of Guelph, Walter and his wife Bridget of Guelph and Valeri and his wife Debra of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Dear brother-in-law of Mary Schmoll of London, Nina and her husband Ken Park of Woodstock and Reg Cartmale of China. Nikita is survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers-in-law Chris Schmoll and Tony Demjanow and his sister-in-law Klaudia Cartmale. Nikita worked for King Truck Engineering in Woodstock for 37 years. Friends may call at the LONGWORTH FUNERAL HOME, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Tuesday August 21, 2007 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at Christ The Saviour Russian Orthodox Church, 140 Fairview Ave. London on Wednesday August 22, 2007 at 10:00 am with Fr. Vladimir Morin officiating. Contributions to the Church of Christ The Saviour, Canadian Cancer Society or the Woodstock General Hospital would be appreciated.
