Nelson Russel Jubinville

Nelson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the Woodstock General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born April 13, 1944, in Windsor, later, marrying the love of his life Lynn, Feburary 2, 1963.

Nelson’s goal was to live life to the fullest; to experience all things, including Whitewater rafting, parasailing, kayaking, go carting and camping with his family and friends. Nelson was a true adventurist.  Privileged enough to retire at a young 55 years, he was able to travel coast to coast through Canada as well as the US, and throughout the Caribbean. His high points, being stops in Panama, Cayman Islands, Sturgis, Tombstone, the OK Corral, Route 66, and the Musical Road.

He is well remembered for his epic pig roast BBQs and his monumental Belgian waffle breakfasts. His love for cooking for others was unparalleled.

He also enjoyed hosting a steady stream of friends and family at his Florida ranch.

He thoroughly enjoyed the Nascar infield experience and the view from the top of the bus, turn 3.

His competitive spirit was quite evident in his holy board tournaments, loving the friendly comradery and the competition.

Nelson is survived by his loving wife Lynn, his 2 children Bonita (Ron) Whitney, Brad (Connie) Jubinville, His 4 grandchildren Heather (Etienne) Lefebvre, Kim (Mitch) Whitney, Jimmy Whitney, Chayse Jubinville, Mallory Law, and his 4 great grandchildren, Quinn Lefebvre, Arlo Lefebvre, Roselynn Jubinville-Gibson, Nolan Whitney-Watt.

Nelson touched so many lives in his travels, and will be sadly missed by his many friends, neighbours and nieces and nephews.

Nelson was game for anything that came his way. His parting words,” Let me get my shoes”.

Because of Covid, a private family memorial took place January 26, 2022. A celebration of life will be held for friends at a later date.
