deWit - At her residence at the Exeter Villa on Saturday September 5, 2009. Neeltje "Nellie" (nee VanTilburg) deWit formerly of Woodstock and Embro area in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late John H. deWit (1993). Dear mother of Alida Poort and her husband Richard of Woodstock, Jean Vanderlaan of Exeter, Marie Lievaart and her husband Dan of Taber, Alberta, John deWit of Woodstock and mother-in-law to Kryn VanOostveen of Embro, Bernard DeJonge and his wife Linda of Kitchener and Trudy deWit of Embro. Loved grandmother of many grandchildren, great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Jean Veenstra and her husband Jake, Betty Vandermey and her husband Bill all of Woodstock and Gerrit deWit and his wife Mien of Woodstock. Predeceased by her daughters Nell DeJonge, Wilhelmina VanOostveen, son Case deWit, son-in-law Albert Vanderlaan, two grandchildren, sisters Margaret Verhoef, Joanna VanIperen, brother Leonard VanTilburg and two sisters and two brothers in Holland. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday September 7, 2009 from 5 - 7 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Covenant Christian Reformed Church, Woodstock on Tuesday at 10:00 am. Interment in the North Embro Cemetery.
