Nancy Louise Pond, a cherished matriarch and beacon of love, passed away peacefully on her 87th birthday, July 29, 2024, at Exeter Villa. Born in London, Ontario, in 1937 to Austin and Helen Springett, Nancy's life was a testament to the power of family, love, and the simple joys of gardening.

Nancy's journey through life was shared with her devoted husband, Clyde Pond, with whom she celebrated an impressive 67 years of marriage. Together, they nurtured a family that grew to include their loving children Connie (Gregory), Karen (predeceased by Keith), Michael (Dianne), and Kelly (Brad). Nancy's legacy continued to blossom with her adored grandchildren Tarah (Chris), Nicole (Shane), Jess, Kaitlyn (Graeme), Stacey, Bryce (Kendra), and Austin (Angela), and her cherished great-grandchildren Jackson, Taylor, and Autumn.

Her sister Beth, sister-in-law Pat, and many nieces and nephews also survive Nancy. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Bob (Pat), and her brother-in-law Glen. Each family member held a special place in her heart, and she in theirs.

Nancy's passion for gardening was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of her nurturing spirit. Her garden was a vibrant tapestry of life that mirrored the love and care she invested in her family. She found immense joy in the beauty of nature and the process of cultivation, which she often likened to the growth and blossoming of her own family.

Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apples of her eye, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Nancy's wisdom, warmth, and stories will be deeply missed but fondly remembered during family gatherings, where her presence was always a source of comfort and joy.

Nancy's life was a beautiful example of dedication to family and the pursuit of simple pleasures. Her unwavering support and unconditional love created an enduring legacy that will continue to thrive in the hearts of those she touched. As the seasons change and the flowers in her garden bloom and fade, Nancy's memory will remain evergreen, a perpetual reminder of her gentle spirit and the love she so freely gave.

Nancy's life will be celebrated in a private ceremony, where her family will gather to honor her memory and the immeasurable impact she had on their lives. Her story, one of love, family, and the beauty of nature, will be cherished and retold for generations to come.
