CHESNEY, Nancy (nee Chester) - At Woodstock General Hospital on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, Nancy Chesney (nee Chester) of Woodstock at the age of 100. Beloved wife of the late Leslie Chesney (1974). Dear mother of Gordon Chesney (Verna) of Woodstock, Joyce Collings (Garnet) of Paris, Gail Farrington (Gary) and Marion Silverthorn (Harvey) all of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Melissa Groot (Gerard), Angela Paulen (Brad), Lee Chesney, Adam Silverthorn (Deidre), Becky Silverthorn, Rob Farrington, Keith Swartz (Ruth), Sandra Knoop (John), Greg Swartz (Angel), Brad Swartz (Lesley), and Doug Swartz (Arla). Also remembered by her great grandchildren. Predeceased by her stepdaughter Blanche Swartz, sisters Elizabeth, Dorothy, Meta, Alice, and Nellie and brothers Robert and Thomas. Friends will be received at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home (formerly Longworth Funeral Home), 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Thursday, June 23, 2011 from 2:30 - 4:30 and 7 - 9 pm where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 11:00 am.
