Nancy Ruth (Hillsdon) Birtch
October 10, 1952 — May 27, 2024
Nancy Ruth Birtch, nee Hillsdon, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Monday, May 27, 2024 at Woodstock Hospital at the age of 71. Nancy was welcomed in Heaven by her husband, Norm Birtch (2005), her daughter Tara Bowie (2020) and brother-in-law Bob Thompson (2019). Dearly loved mother of Reme Beckett and Rhonda Carter (Jim). Proud grandmother of Leah Beckett, Sylvana Shewbridge (Tyler) and Jamie Carter. Nancy will be fondly remembered by Joan Hutchison, her life long friend of 65 years. Dear sister of Patricia "Pat" Thompson, Paul Hillsdon (Colleen) and survived by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Nancy worked most of her career at O.R.C. In retirement, she took pleasure in her family, especially her grandchildren.
In keeping with Nancy's wishes, private cremation has taken place. Flowers are gratefully declined, but memorial donations to Algonquin Public School Nutrition Program or to a charity of one's choice would be welcomed.
