SHERMAN - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Monday March 7, 2005. Myrtle Georgina Sherman (nee Peckham) of Woodstock in her 76th year. Beloved wife of Kenneth "Ken" Gordon Sherman for over 58 years. Dear mother of Gary and Sheila of Woodstock, Melanie Carter and Keith Moat of Woodstock, Denise Oliver and Ken of RR# 2, Mt. Elgin and Annette Bloomfield and Robert of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Marshall (Laura), April (Terry), Megan (Philip), Jay, Sean (Dana), Robyn (Jeff), Janice (Kory), Craig, Dan, MacKenzie and great grandmother of Mikaela, Mya, Emily, Ruairi Lynn, Brayden, Tara, Olivia, Madison and Reid. Dear sister of Hazel Garfat and her husband Joe of Sweaburg, Donna Miles and her husband Ed of Eastwood and George Peckham and his wife Bea of Beachville. Predeceased by her son-in-law Ted Carter, great grandson Patrick Shalley and by her sisters Viola Graville, Gertrude Holmes, Mary Pellow and Nora Dakin. Myrtle had worked with the Upper Thames Conservation Authority as the concession and camp store manager for almost 30 years. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004 on Wednesday 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service to celebrate Myrtle's life will be held at the Christ Church Anglican Oxford Centre on Thursday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Marian Haggerty officiating.
