Myrtle (Rogers) Elms

ELMS, Myrtle (nee: Rogers)
Born in Bromley, Kent, England April 20th 1927 to Eric and Violet Rogers, passed away peacefully on December 29th, 2022, at the young age of 95. Longing to join her husband Ken (Cecil Hilton) who passed away in 1991. Myrtle was the eldest of three daughters; pre-deceased by middle sister, Rosemary,  survived by her youngest sister Hazel, half-brother Howard and half-sister Elizabeth, all in England. She and Ken immigrated to Canada with their two young children David and Tina in 1958. She lived in their house in Weston for 58 years before moving to her little bungalow in Woodstock for the last few years of her life. She leaves behind her son David (Shari), daughter Tina (David), and grandchildren Matthew, Roger, Melanie, Robyn and Katrina plus eleven great grandchildren.   She was an avid gardener, CKC breeder of Cairn Terriers and later Yorkshire Terriers; always with a hobby: such as painting, model trains, Scouting, Doulton figurines, needlepoint and much more. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
