Murray Nie Kellar Profile Photo
KELLAR, Murray Nie- On Friday, December 14th, 2018 quietly at Sakura House, Murray Nie Kellar lost his fourth and final battle with cancer, in his 76th year. Born in Hagersville to Clark and Ethel (Nee Nie) Kellar of Route 4 Simcoe, Ontario. Left remembering his love and cherishing the memories from over 51 years of marriage is his wife Gail (nee Bell) Kellar, three awesome children, Bonnie (Jerry) Roland of North Pole Alaska, Brian (Jennifer) Kellar of Oshawa, Ontario, and Mike (Michelle) Kellar of Onoway, Alberta. Proud Grandpa of five loving grandchildren, Alexander Roland, Noah and Emma Kellar, and Mason and Samantha Kellar. Dear brother to Robert (Susan) Kellar of Minden Ontario and Wayne (Shirley) Kellar of Hagersville, and brother-in-law to Craig (Helen) Bell of Oshawa, Ontario. Also remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Murray was a proud Police Officer for the city of Woodstock for over 31 years, retiring at the rank of Inspector. He was also a very active member in the years past in the Woodstock Navy Club and Woodstock Curling Club. During his almost 22 years of retirement he spent many happy days at the family cottage on Naiscoot Lake seldom managing to outwit his pesky critter friends. Winters were spent in Texas enjoying sun, relaxation, and playing golf, following his own Murray's Golf Association Rules. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004), on Saturday, January 19th, 2019 from 2 to 4 pm for a Celebration of Murray's Life. If desired, memorial contributions to the V.O.N. Sakura House or to the Woodstock Hospital Palliative Care unit would be appreciated. Online condolences at www.brockandvisser.com
