Muriel Cornelia Battley - (Eltom) Welch

WELCH, Muriel (Battley nee Eltom) - Passed away at the VON Sakura House, Woodstock, on Thursday February 12, 2015 in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Wifred L Welch. Muriel is survived by her daughter Joan Battley, her sister Clara and Jim Aspden. Muriel was lovingly cared for by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Fred and Blanche Eltom, her brother Ted and Laura Eltom, her sister Marie and Sid Harrison and brother-in-law Jeff Wouters. Muriel had been the secretary at W.C.I., audit clerk at T. Eaton Co. and then for many years the bookkeeper at the former Reg Hall Store. She was an active member of First Baptist Church all of her life. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Saturday February 14, 2015 from 2-3pm where the funeral will be held in the chapel at 3:00pm with the Rev. Douglas Anderson officiating. Spring interment at the Baptist Cemetery. If desired, donations in memory of Muriel can be made to the First Baptist Church, the Baptist Cemetery or the Humane Society.
