Muriel Dora (Shobbrook) Millson

Muriel Dora Millson, a loving, kind, and thoughtful woman, was born on January 19, 1938, in Clinton, ON, and peacefully passed away at her residence in Woodstock, ON, on June 30, 2023.

Muriel was the cherished wife of the late Ross Millson. She was an incredibly devoted mother to her children Sheryl (Scott Sipa) Millson, David Millson, Patricia (William) VanRooyen, Darren (Susan) Millson, John (Carol) Millson, and Sarah (Lee) Renshaw. She was also a proud and doting grandmother to Conner, Phoebe (Nick); Willie, Heather (Quinn); Rebekah (Josh), Charlotte; Christopher (Jocelyn), Tia, Dayna; Owen, Grace; and Sam, Ryan (Nikki). Her family tree continued to blossom with 12 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and laughter into her life.

Muriel was a beloved sister to Ken Shobbrook and sister-in-law to Bill (Nancy) Millson. She was predeceased by her brother Gordon Shobbrook and her sister Thelma Ellerby. Her extended family included many nieces, nephews, and her good friend Dora Millson, all of whom she loved dearly.

Muriel was a woman of diverse interests. Notably, she was a loyal Toronto Blue Jays fan, finding excitement in every game they played. Alongside her sports enthusiasm, she loved word games and puzzles, spending countless hours engrossed in their challenges. She also found joy in listening to music, especially The Gaithers, and she could often be heard singing along with her favourite Hymns.

Her Momma Bear spirit will continue to inspire those she left behind. Muriel was a beacon of love, kindness, and thoughtfulness, and her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Friends and relatives are invited to join the family on Wednesday, July 5th from 1-2 pm at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock, for visitation. The funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 2 pm.
