Muriel Lockhart Peacefully, with her children at her side, Muriel (McIntyre) Lockhart passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Leisureworld Oxford in Ingersoll, Ontario. She was in her 94th year. Muriel was predeceased by her husband John, (1997), her sister Helen, (2008) and her sister Jessie, (1994). She is survived by her six children: Lynda (Ron) Reesor, Helen, Al (Cheryl), Bill (Anna), Mary (Ron) Robertson, and Polly (Bob) McDonald as well as 14 grand-children: Kathy, Mark, Paul, Susan, Kate, Phil, Steve, Matt, Duncan, Caleb, Brad, Mike, Jeff, Mary and their families including 9 great-grandchildren. Muriel enjoyed her family very much leading by example and providing a warm, nurturing home where all were welcomed. Muriel was very active at Trinity United Church and a long-time volunteer with the Cancer Society in Oxford County. She enjoyed bridge, curling, knitting and socializing. Muriel's family are immensely grateful to the wonderful staff at Leisureworld Oxford for the loving and compassionate care she received over the last seven years. The family invites you to share in the celebration of Muriel's life at Trinity United Church in Ingersoll on Wednesday December 4 at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Muriel are asked to consider Trinity United Church Building Fund, Canadian Cancer Society-Oxford Branch or Alexandra Hospital Foundation Fund.
