Minnie Dean

May 21 1928 – August 13, 2024

Minnie went quietly into the arms of her Lord at Woodstock General Hospital just before midnight on the evening of Tuesday August 13, 2024 at the age of 96.

She was a beautiful woman in her heart and soul and her love lit up in her eyes every time she smiled. Minnie moved to Woodstock with her husband Charlie in 1949 and then became members of Knox Presbyterian church.  She found new lifelong friends and enjoyed being part of the ladies guild.

Minnie is predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Charlie and son Daniel, 4 brothers Lionel, Gerald, Eldon, Donald, 2 sisters Flora and Grace.

She will be dearly missed by her sister Evelyn, her daughter Linda (John), her son Stewart (Gail), and daughter-in-law Christine.

Also survived by 9 grandchildren Lori (Gary), Leanne (Ross), Daniel, Andrew (Amanda), Christopher (Angie), Patrick (Stephen), Richard (Heather), Jennifer (Drew), and Allan (Ryann).

5 great-grandchildren Donovan, Elisabeth, Charlotte, Rilen, and Calvin. 2 great-great-grandhildren Dustin and Nora. As well as many nieces and nephews.

She was a generous and loving woman who loved dancing especially with Charlie, playing cards, sewing, quilting and knitting.   She never forgot her maritime roots and was proud to say Nova Scotia was her home.

Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family at Brock and Visser Funeral Home on Friday, August 30th from 10 to 11 am. The funeral service will take place in the chapel at 11:00 am.
